Term 3 Wb 13th June

We have now reached the end of our school year and survived the challenges of Covid19 restrictions and online learning. It was really great to return to face to face learning on campus. For our final blog, we have asked the children to choose one photograph from this year that they feel is memorable. They were also requested to provide a short quote that reflects something which has been special.

ขณะนี้เรามาถึงสิ้นสุดปีการศึกษาและรอดความท้าทายของมาตรการโควิด 19 และการเรียนออนไลน์. การเรียนที่โรงเรียนนั้นดีกว่ามาก บล็อกสุดท้ายของปีการศึกษา เราให้นักเรียนเลือกภาพที่ประทับใจของตัวเอง และคิดคำคมที่พิเศษสำหรับตัวเองขึ้นมา.

"I picked this photo because it was the "Journey Through the Eyes of a Child Show" and I am with one of my best friends Troy. I chose this picture because it is where I am spending time with my friends getting ready to finish the year."

"This year in Y6 I have been very happy because I have learnt many more things like more Thai, Maths and how to make better stories. I think this year I have been balanced trying to keep everything equal. I think the hardest thing was the PYPX but everybody managed to finish."

Here are some ideas that children could work on during the holiday break.
  • Reading Thai or English books. It is vital to keep reading skills sharp. Children may read their own books but I have also added a collection of books to the Get Epic folder. (Do remember there is no need to pay to join and it is free during the daytime)  
  • Work on keeping multiplication facts up to date
  • Children can go to 'That Quiz' to work on Mathematics
  • Reading Eggs or Reading Express
  • The children have spelling sheets which they can continue

Do remember to spend some time with nature (not a computer screen) and playing with others. Have a memorable and relaxing holiday break and UDIS looks forward to welcoming you back to school on 8th, August, 2022.

อย่าลืมใช้เวลากับธรรมชาติ(ไม่ใช่หน้จอคอม) และเล่นกับคนอื่น มีช่วงเวลาที่ดีในวันหยุดและ UDIS รอคอยที่จะเจอนักเรียนทุกคนในวันที่ 8 สิงหาคม 2022.

Year 6 Term 3 Week 6 Blog

English This week in English class the children worked on building their inferencing skills. The children were required to look at various slides and quotes and then respond to the inferencing questions relating to those slides and quotes. In addition the children received a list of 100 fun indoor activities that they could choose from to build various skills. Term 3 Wb 17th May

This week we all had our photographs taken. สัปดาห์นี้เรา ได้ถ่ายภาพนักเรียน ทุกคน We have been saying a final thank you to our PYPX mentors Ms Phibz, Ms Marie and Mr Kane. เราพูดขอบคุณเป็นครั้งสุดท้ายต่อครูที่ปรึกษาของนิทรรศการจบการศึกษาชั้นประถมซึ่งได้แก่ มิสฟิบส์, มิสมารีย์และมิสเตอร์เคน   Congratulations to Nadech for completing our Tables Challenge ขอแสดงความยินดีกับณเดชน์ที่ท่องแม่สูตรคูณสำเร็จครบ 12 แม่. Our assembly was led by the Student Council and we played some mini games.. กิจกรรมชุมนุมถูกจัดขึ้นโดยนักเรียนจากสภานักเรียนและเราเล่นเกมส์เล็กๆด้วยกัน              We have commenced our preparations for this event. The Science of Gardening

Term 3 Week 1 : The Science of Gardening This week we have been excitedly planning how to get the school vegetable garden back into a productive state. We’re tying this into our unit of inquiry on scientific developments. Central Idea : Scientific knowledge is constantly evolving and has an impact on people's lives. During this inquiry students are each taking on various aspects of developing our school vegetable patch. They are forming scientific questions related to the garden and applying a simple form of the scientific process. 1. Ask a question 2. Predict an answer. 3. Create a test to find the answer. (observe, measure, compare) 4. Share the findings. The biggest question on our minds so far is how to keep the soil watered when we are away over the holidays.
