We are back face to face learning at school.



We returned to school on Tuesday 1st February. Everyone is excited to be back and we are following our agreed school protocols to ensure everyone is safe. The children talked about why they prefer to be back at school rather than learning online. Here are their thoughts...

On Thursday, we celebrated Global Playday. Over 1 million students from over 75 countries participated. Here are some photographs to show the kind of things we did.

ในวันพฤหัสบดี ทางโรงเรียนจัดกิจกรรมวันแห่งการเล่นขึ้น นักเรียนมากกว่า 1 ล้านคนจากกว่า 75 ประเทศต่างร่วมกิจกรรมนี้ เรามีรูปภาพจากกิจกรรมดังกล่าวมาให้ผู้ปกครองทุกท่านได้ดูว่าเราเล่นอะไรกันบ้าง.

In Mathematics we are learning about 3D shape.

วิชาคณิตศาสตร์เราเรียนรู้เกี่ยวกับรูปร่าง 3 มิติ.

We can use terms such as faces,edges and vertices. We can also construct 3D shapes from their nets

เราใช้คำศัพท์ เช่น พื้นที่ ขอบ และมุม และสร้างโครงร่างของรูปร่าง 3 มิติ.


                

We looked at a torch/flashlight.

เราดูไฟฉาย

We examined a huge torch which is sometimes used by our security team to help keep people safe. We found it could be used in three different ways and were able to see the different parts used to create the final product

เราดูไฟฉายขนาดใหญ่ซึ่งพนักงานรักษาความปลอดภัยของโรงเรียนใช้เพื่อช่วยให้นักเรียนทุกคนปลอดภัย และพบว่าสามารถใช้ไaฉายได้ 3 วิธีที่แตกต่างกัน และสามารถเห็นส่วนต่างๆ เพื่อนำไปสู่ขั้นตอนสุดท้าย

              


We held a special assembly on the court on Thursday.

เราจัดกิจกรรมชุมนุมพิเศษในสนามเมื่อวันพฤหัสบดี

Awards were given to students who have displayed certain attributes and attitudes relating to our PYP Learner Profile.

มีการมอบรางวัลให้กับนักเรียนที่แสดงคุณลักษณะและทัศนคติที่เหมาะสมตามแบบ PYP.

For in class learning the following awards were given:

สำหรับการเรียนในชั้นเรียนรางวัลถูกมอบให้แก่:

Matthew received awards for being a Risk Taker, Open  Minded, Cooperation and Independence.

Daiki received awards for Creativity, Balance and Curiosity

Viktoria received awards for showing she is Knowledgeable, Open Minded, Caring and shows Confidence and Appreciation 

Mark received an award for being Principled and showing Respect, Integrity and Commitment.

Tashi received an award for  being a great Communicator.

Nadech received  awards for being Knowledgeable, Open Minded, and showing Tolerance, Enthusiasm and Appreciation.

Atom received awards for Cooperation, Caring and showing Respect and being Principled,  

Troy received an award to welcome him to UDIS: He has joined us this week.

อะตอม ได้รับรางวัลด้าน ความร่วมมือ ความเคารพ ความมีหลักการ  ความร่วมมือและการดูแล

ทรอย ได้รับรางวัลเพื่อต้อนรับเขาสู่ UDIS: เริ่มเรียนกับเราในสัปดาห์นี้

Additional awards were allocated by specialist teachers. รางวัลเพิ่มเติมได้รับการจัดสรรโดยครูเฉพาะด้าน

A Learning Focus next week will be:-

Our learning in Science/PSHE will be all about PUBERTY and is about the physical changes that happen as children mature. Work is centres on the physical and emotional aspects of puberty. We will NOT cover human reproduction. Parents have been sent links for the materials we will be using for this area of learning. This work will be led by Mr. John E and Ms Emmi.

การเรียนที่เราเน้นในสัปดาห์หน้า :-

การเรียนวิทยาศาสตร์/PSHE เกี่ยวกับ การเข้าสู่วัยรุ่น และการเปลี่ยนแปลงของร่างกายที่เกิดขึ้นในช่วงวัยนี้. การสอนจะมุ่งเน้นเรื่องทัศนคติเกี่ยวกับร่างกายและอารมณ์ของวัยรุ่น เราจะไม่สอนเรื่องการสืบพันธ์ของมนุษย์. ผมได้ส่งลิ้งของเครื่องมือและสื่อที่เราจะใช้สอนในบทเรียนนี้แก่ผู้ปกครองผ่านทางอีเมลแล้ว. การสอนจะนำโดย มร. จอห์น อี และ มิส เอมี่.

We have now reached the end of our school year and survived the challenges of Covid19 restrictions and online learning. It was really great to return to face to face learning on campus. Term 3 Wb 6th June

Our Journey. We are now approaching the final week of our school year. Last week, children shared their learning with you in our 'Journey Through the Eyes of a Child Event.' กิจกรรม การเดินทาง ตอนนี้เราเดินทางมาถึงสัปดาห์สุดท้ายของปีการศึกษานี้ สัปดาห์ที่ผ่านมา เด็กๆ แบ่งปันประสบการณืเรียนรู้กับผู้ปกครองในกิจกรรม "การเดินทางผ่านสายตาของผู้เรียน" Assembly This week we held a House Assembly, The children participated in a range of activities. End of Unit

This week we came to the end of our unit of inquiry on cultural beliefs and values. Back in August we had very little understanding about how culture impacts beliefs and values. However, as the weeks went by we engaged in many learning activities. The first of these was interviewing teachers to ask for their input on a definition of culture. We went on to watch mini-documentaries, read several information books and speak to people who could teach us about their culture. As a concluding activity, we came together as a class to produce a joint video which describes some essential points of cultures which we are interested in. This was an exercise in collaborating on a project and exercising social skills. As you can imagine, there was a lot of research to do, and so we had a good opportunity to put into practice all we have been learning about how to conduct research.
