On Thursday, we celebrated Global Playday. Over 1 million students from over 75 countries participated. Here are some photographs to show the kind of things we did.

In Mathematics we are learning about 3D shape.

We examined a huge torch which is sometimes used by our security team to help keep people safe. We found it could be used in three different ways and were able to see the different parts used to create the final product

We held a special assembly on the court on Thursday.

Awards were given to students who have displayed certain attributes and attitudes relating to our PYP Learner Profile.

Mark received an award for being Principled and showing Respect, Integrity and Commitment.
Tashi received an award for being a great Communicator.
Nadech received awards for being Knowledgeable, Open Minded, and showing Tolerance, Enthusiasm and Appreciation.
Atom received awards for Cooperation, Caring and showing Respect and being Principled,
Troy received an award to welcome him to UDIS: He has joined us this week.

A Learning Focus next week will be:-
Our learning in Science/PSHE will be all about PUBERTY and is about the physical changes that happen as children mature. Work is centres on the physical and emotional aspects of puberty. We will NOT cover human reproduction. Parents have been sent links for the materials we will be using for this area of learning. This work will be led by Mr. John E and Ms Emmi.
