We have now come to the end of Term 2 for this academic school year. Due to COVID-19 there have been some major changes that we have had to adapt to for the last 2.5 weeks of this term. I would like to thank the parents for all of your support in helping to make this transition as smooth as possible and I would also like to commend the children for their hard work and engagement during these online learning sessions. Hopefully we will be able to return to in class learning as soon as possible. Parents please keep an eye out for any updates that may be sent via email or via the school Line group during the break regarding the COVID-19 situation.
In English class this week the children have listened to the audio-book "The Boxcar Children" by Gertrude Chandler Warner. The children were assigned different comprehension questions for each of the 6 parts of the audio-book.
In Maths class this week the children worked on maths computation of fractions. The learners focused on addition of numbers with like, unlike and mixed number fractions. The children also worked on improving their skills in subtraction and multiplication of numbers with like, unlike and mixed number fractions in the second half of the week.
For UOI the children worked together in groups this week to complete 11 different tasks on the concept of human migration. The students had the opportunity to listen to short audio clips of different migrants and how and why they have migrated to different places in the world.
Ms. Snook and I would like to wish all of the families a Happy and Healthy Songkran Festival. We have recorded some funny Flipgrid videos to share with the children.
